9/5 – Labor Day

It seems everyone runs around complaining that they have so much to do and no time to do it.  But I believe we all get the same 24 hours a day.  And we have so many labor saving devices.  Look at this Tudor kitchen and think of all the time food preparation would take compared to a 21st century kitchen.

  1. I think that when I’m at Williamsburg – cooking over the fire / iron stove, especially when it’s so hot out. Plus no refrigeration. I don’t think I’d like it much.

  2. Colonial Williamsburg is such a wonderful place. My husband & I did a 2 week driving vacation in Virginia back in October 2007. We were hoping that it would be after the summer heat — ha, ha, — I wilted. But I still managed to enjoy Williamsburg. I guess if I go again I need to wait until Thanksgiving or Christmas.
